About Perk Up
Since 2006 and then ‘further enhanced’ by Jeanette Footman and Alice Matsuo in 2009, Perk Up has been a well-known cafe in Broad Ripple for its specialty, fair trade organic (FTO) in-house roasted coffee, exceptional breads and cakes. With Jeanette having a strong affinity for baking German-style cakes, and Alice’s background as a chemist & German trained & certified artisan bread baker, the two joined forces to eventually create Brotgarten within Perk Up.
